Our mission as a group of student leaders, is to be in covenant with God and each other through ongoing spiritual formation.  We seek to participate in the life of the community through worship, evangelization, education, justice and social action.

"Dwell In Our House"  

Welcome to the Newman Center, your home away from home.  Our inspiration this year comes from John 14:2-3, "In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.  If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be."  With these words in mind, we invite our Lord into ourselves and our brothers and sisters in Christ into His home.  We are excited to welcome everyone into God's house for many spiritual activities and fun-filled nights at the Newman Center.  Feel free to stop in our office at the end of the hallway for food, fun and friendship.  Seriously, please stop by!

Among our activities are:

  • Pizza Nugget Night - First four Sundays of the semester, and then alternating Sundays,
    after the 9:00 PM Mass
  • Bible Study - Every other Monday at 7:00 PM
  • Praying the Rosary - Tuesday evenings at 8:30 PM in the Chapel
  • Faith Enrichment - Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM
  • Weekly student Masses at 9:00 PM on Wednesdays - free food afterward
  • Spirit and Life - Every Thursday at 8:00 PM
  • Adoration - 2nd Wednesday of the month following the 9:00 PM Mass
  • College retreat (NIK) -  February 19-21, 2010 at the Bishop Lane Retreat Center in Rockford
  • Many social events throughout the year
  • Opportunities for prayer and reflection
  • Opportunities for faith and fellowship - Movies, game nights, dinners and more!
  • 24-Hour study during final exam week
  • Much, Much More!
